Your home is unique, so we start by talking to you either over the phone or face to face. We check your home for solar exposure to estimate how much electricity you could generate, and discuss Free Solar and SolarShare options. If you'd like to go ahead, we'll book in a technical survey for a more complete assessment of your roof.
Our expert teams will come and survey your roof – check its condition, structure, slope, orientation, and sizing for panels. Back at base, our Customer Team will look after any Building Regulations approval (if required), notification to mortgage companies and any other paperwork.
Assuming your roof passes the technical survey (most do), we'll give you a call to let you know what size of system we can offer you. If you’d like to go ahead, we’ll send out the paperwork so that you can have a look through it, and then one of our Solar Specialists will visit to talk you through everything and take some convenient dates for installation.
Our Customer Team plan out your installation, keeping you fully informed every step of the way. Our MCS accredited team handle the installation and it normally takes a day – with very little disruption. We'll need to pop inside your house to fit some switches, an inverter, and an electricity meter (to measure what your system produces), but this doesn't take long. Then we wire the system into your home's electrical supply. You'll receive copies of all the necessary paperwork and certificates, and we'll explain the way the system works.
That's it. You're up and running with your own free electricity. It even works when it's cloudy! And you'll be able to measure it with your new meter, so that you can see how much electricity you are producing and when. Fantastic.
For Free Solar and SolarShare, we include a full 25 year maintenance service. If you have any problems simply give us a call - although we will be monitoring your system's performance on a continuous basis so we will probably know about any problems and be looking into solving them faster than you!
