What did we do?
He had considered creating his own energy through solar PV many times but until now it had made no sense financially. With the recent change in legislation and the fact that he can now get the panels fitted for much less through HomeSun, solar energy has finally become financially viable.

Now a year since John's install he has saved an enormous £359 on his £1,062 bill. His electricity usage ‘before solar’ 2009/10 was 8,246 units / Electricity usage 2010/11 ‘with solar’ was 5,459 units. Total savings of 2,787 units, at 12.8p per units, which equates to £358.97 saved.
“Never-ending energy price rises don’t worry me so much now” says Mr Arnold. “I know I’m saving money with solar, and by only using the dishwasher and washing machine during the day, I’m saving even more than I thought I would.”
