“We are now looking to buy an immersion heater to use electricity to heat our hot water instead of gas. With rising energy prices Anthony is making small steps to reduce the gas he uses and switch to the free electricity he now has! An interesting new addition to his home is a halogen cooker, which, despite the learning curve of the new gadget, is reducing the use of his gas cooker. "Cooking food is easy enough, plug it in set the timer and just put the goodies in the compartment…carrots are a bit of a challenge at the moment unless you like them ‘al dente’!"

Anthony had his installation in August and is looking forward to seeing how much he is saving.

He was using 6 units of electricity per day from the grid pre-install but has managed to get that down to 0 units thanks to the free electricity he is producing! 

Anthony has updated us on his savings! Meter reading as of 18th October 2011 is 99762 an increase of 2 units since 19th September 2011. This means a saving of 30 days at a previous average of 6.22 units per day equaling 186.6 units - 2 units =184.6 at 0.36p/unit means a saving of £46.31.
