A Cheltenham couple today scooped the top prize for Britain’s greenest home following a nation-wide search. Glenn and Frances Simpson beat thousands of other homes across the UK to the first prize of £3,000 with a range of eco-friendly and money saving initiatives including: Building an eco-friendly extension insulated with sheep’s wool, which ensures their combined gas and electricity bill never exceeds £400 annually, Growing vegetables in their garden year round, Compost bins to minimise waste, A complete water harvesting system
