WHICH? CUSTOMER SATISFACTION SURVEY SHOWS NEED TO BREAK AWAY FROM BIG ENERGY
Consumers are keen to generate their own electricity from solar PV but FIT must be equal across board to ensure free solar systems remain available. Responding to the poor ratings of the big six energy companies in a Which? customer satisfaction survey published today, Daniel Green, CEO of leading solar company, HomeSun, said: “It is clear that the British public wants independence from Big Energy and ever rising bills. Everyone should be able to produce their own free energy with solar and that includes lower-income private homeowners who don’t have the spare £10,000 to buy a system. Read more>>>

BBC Breakfast Feature
Buy Solar, Free Solar, SolarShare – HomeSun works with the government backed Feed-in Tariffs to give homeowners more options for having solar and producing their own free electricity.
Earlier in 2010, BBC Breakfast featured HomeSun to help explain the options.
One of the ‘stars of the show’ was Mr Arnold who was our very first SolarShare customer. The PV system was installed within a day, he paid just £500 + £5 per month for a panels that is saving him around a third off his electricity bill, and the whole system is maintained by HomeSun for 25 years. An excellent solution for homeowners with eligible roofs, who want to see a short term return without any significant up front costs.
Another homeowner decided to buy his solar panels for £18,000. With the Feed-in Tariffs he estimates breaking even in around 10 years – an excellent solution for homeowners who have a ‘pot’ to invest and can afford to wait for a return.
PS: One correction to the interview: PV panels aren’t heavy, and fall well within the building regulation requirements for most houses, but this will be confirmed during the technical survey before any installation
